How it works

When I started, this job was about to become mine. So I built the system instead of doing it.
- What I saw
- Every new piece meant four jobs by hand: typing it into three places, working out the price, writing the description, writing the Google listing.
- What I built
- A person types the piece in once. The reference, price, description and Google listing then fill themselves in, and it lands in the POS and on the website as a draft.
- Left to a person
- Nothing goes live until someone checks it and presses publish. Anything they write stays theirs. The system never writes over it.

It could happen whenever a piece sold in the shop but stayed for sale online. Catching it meant matching the two by hand, and that job was mine.
- What I saw
- Selling one piece twice means refunding one of the buyers and saying sorry.
- What I built
- One stock figure for the shop and the website. A shop sale reaches the website within five minutes, and a check every night catches anything that slipped through. It also replaced a paid app.
- Left to a person
- If stock drops and no sale explains it, the system flags it for a person instead of guessing.

How it works
Luxury UK jewellery retailer
I was the one jumping between them. So I built one place for all of it.
- What I saw
- Stock sat in the POS, listings in Shopify, files in Drive and decisions in WhatsApp. One question about one piece could mean checking all four.
- What I built
- One dashboard the team logs into. It holds stock, sales, new pieces and website visits, and stays in step with the POS and the online store.
- Left to a person
- It shows what needs doing and leaves the decisions to people. A price someone types by hand stays as typed.
